Day: Saturday

Time: 10:00 - 11:30am

The boys made it 2 and 0 after their second outing!

It was a great team effort of Hector our goalie, Elvis and Harold as defensive backs, Shayan
and Herminio at midfield and Greyson and Eric in the front line.

The game was a display of power versus finesse. The Barbarians with powerful king and straight
ahead running versus Presidio SC with superb individual ball handling skill with excellent sense of
the field and game vision.

Hector pulled off a couple of deceptive acrobatic saves while remained calm and compose under the
pressure. Elvis as cool and calculated as a defender at this age group could be combined with  
Harold's relentless defensive attack managed to shut down Barbarians' attacks.

Herminio and Shayan sliced through Barbarians' defence to constantly supply the ball to Greyson
and Eric. But it was Shayan who exploded through Barbarian's defensive line midway through the
first half to put Presidio on the score sheet and to take  1-0 into the intermission.

In the second half Barbarians long range missile attacks causing Elvis and Harold to spend more
energy chasing loose balls but with the help our the reliable Hector Barbians soon found there tactic
help setting up Presidio swift counter attacks. With Greyson and Herminio pinning Barbarians in
the middle Shayan finally broke through again to take a shot from the left side of Barbarians'
goalbox. The alert goalkeeper deflect Shayan's shot but the ball went rightto Eric who sidefooted the
ball into the net to extend the lead to 2-nil.

Both sides exchanging the attack but the 2-0 score making Barbarians concern with defending than
attacking enable Presidio to have a better control the game  through long passes to preserve their
2-0 lead till final whistle.

Despite did not score, Greyson and Herminio worked the hardest and through out the game.
                      Great season opener!
SF Wanderers is perhaps the most suited the composition of players on our team.
Saturday.

In the game that appeared to have Real SF a well balanced team with good individual skills
and team work dominated in an early going turned into quite and exciting exchange as the
game went on. The opportunistic Real SF took advantage of the situation to score the first
goal of the game while Presidio boys were trying to figure out who should be where through
trial and error.

But Elvis, Harry, Herminio, Owen, Greyson, Shayab on the field with Leif as our keeper kept
on pressing for the equalizer while Eric waited on the side line to join the action.

The equalizer was off individual effort by Shayan who came down and across the field to
fetch the ball and manage beat his defenders down the left sideline before cut cross into Real
SF goalbox to blast it home for the equalizers.  But while Shayan and the coach were doing
their tactical planing on the sideline Real SF took the lead by taking advantage of defensive
gap we were planning to close but just wasn't in possession to implement it quickly enough.

The combination of Eric & Greyson in the front line, Harry and Herminio in the middle,  
Elvis and Shayan late in the second half brought the game to an even match up with lots of
room that we need to explore in the second half as we knew Leif could come out onto the
field to strengthen out attacking game.
